What is the duration of the B.Tech course?
The regular B.Tech program is of 4 years duration. For diploma or equivalent holders admitted via lateral entry, the program duration is 3 years (starting from 2nd year).
Is the B.Tech program affiliated to any university?
Yes, all B.Tech programs are affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow and approved by AICTE.
What is the minimum eligibility for admission to B.Tech (Regular Entry)?
You must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, and one from Chemistry, Computer Science, Biology, etc., with at least:
- 45% marks (General category)
- 40% marks (SC/ST/OBC)
Admission is based on JEE Main score through AKTU counseling.
What is the eligibility for B.Tech (Lateral Entry)?
You must have completed one of the following:
- A 3-year Diploma in any Engineering/Technology field
- A B.Sc. degree with 10+2 Mathematics
- A D.Voc. in the same/allied sector
With a minimum of 45% (General) or 40% (Reserved). Admission is via CUET (UG) and AKTU Lateral Entry Counseling.
Can B.Sc. students apply for lateral entry?
Yes, B.Sc. graduates can apply if they have studied Mathematics in 10+2 and have secured a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved categories).
What entrance exams are required for admission?
- Regular Entry: Requires a valid JEE Main score
- Lateral Entry: Requires a valid CUET (UG) score
Admissions are processed through UPTAC (UP Technical Admission Counseling) conducted by AKTU.
Are there any support courses for students from non-technical backgrounds?
Yes, the university may provide bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering Drawing for students from diverse academic backgrounds.
Is there any management quota or direct admission?
As a rule, all admissions are conducted strictly through AKTU counseling based on JEE Main or CUET scores. Management quota, if applicable, will follow AICTE/AKTU guidelines.
